Ep25 Clients from Social

The Real Way To Get Clients From Social Media

How do you get quality leads with so many people on social media?

This is a subject that many people are talking about, and this article will guide you so you can do this effectively.

All of us are busy, and we want a quick fix. We all want results. And if you want to get the very best clients from social media, you must put in a lot of work. And you have to do it consistently!

What is your goal with social media?

This is where we always start. I want to give you a mindset shift that will help you attack social media better.

And that is relationship marketing.

Social media is all about building relationships. However, most people don’t know how to show up on social media and create meaningful relationships or how to convert these relationships into paying customers.

So let me give you 3 tips so you can start practicing relationship marketing:

#1 Focus on relationships

Take the time to talk and engage with people without the ulterior motive of wanting to sell to them.

Have you experienced connecting with somebody and then they bring you a sales pitch? I assure you, nobody likes that. And that’s because you don’t have a pre-existing relationship with that person.

So your goal is not to connect and pitch. Your only goal is to connect.

When you start making genuine conversations with as many people as possible, the more likely it is that you will develop a relationship with these people.

#2 Know your intentions

Why are you engaging on social media? What is the goal you’re trying to get? What is your purpose? When you clearly understand where you’re going, it will be easier to get there.

Right now, you could be using Facebook to get clients, build your audience and find great opportunities to be more visible, right?

The best way to connect with people is to actually talk to them.

Know your intentions because that can start putting in the back end and system to get social media work for you and get the desired results you always wanted.

If you’re just on social media because you’re supposed to be there like everyone else, you might as well hire an intern that will cost you $2 an hour because you’re going to get the same results from them.

#3 Engage with your audience

We have summed up a Social Media Framework to help you engage with your audience and get more clients.

Step #1 Know your ideal client

Who is your ideal client? Understand who they are and what they are concerned about.

When you clearly understand who your ideal client is, you will know how to deliver your message that directly speaks to them.

Step #2 Content Creation

You need to be posting and creating content every day.

You can choose whatever type of content you want to create, but you have to make sure that you are putting some time and effort into making that content appealing and learn the tips and tricks to become engaging.

Avoid crappy content with which no one wants to engage.

If you don’t have the time and skill to do all of this, you can always hire someone to help you do it to get better at it.

Be the content creator and not the content consumer.

Step #3 Cultivate Relationships

How do you get engagement?

  • respond to comments
  • go to other people’s social media pages and engage with their content
  • tag people and start conversations
  • move conversations to the DM’s

If you can do all of this, you can go from somebody commenting on a post or being in your audience to having a sales call with somebody.

It all starts with the conversation in your content. You engage, and you cultivate that relationship.

And then, naturally, it will move to that next step, which is a sales call or a partnership call.

This is the real way to get clients from social media.
